Meet the Owner, Marianne Back

Marianne has been a part of the Pensacola community since 1990. As a "military brat," she moved away and returned several times, but always found her way back to the Gulf Coast she calls home. Originally from Upstate New York, she is a proud, federally recognized member of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe.

Throughout her career, Marianne has built a reputation as a trusted compliance leader, helping nonprofits, hospitals, municipalities, and community organizations secure and manage more than $74 million in federal funding. Her work required navigating complex regulations, documentation requirements, audits, reporting systems, and risk management frameworks while ensuring organizations remained accountable and compliant.

Gulf Meridian Eco-Solutions was created to bring that same compliance-first mindset to the businesses and property owners of the Gulf Coast. Rather than simply providing cleaning services, Gulf Meridian helps clients reduce risk, improve documentation, protect local waterways, and maintain cleaner, safer, and more compliant facilities.
